Beacon access

Accessibility at Beacon

Beacon is designed for keyboard, screen-reader, touch, browser zoom, Warm Light, Dark Luminous, and reduced-motion use. This page describes current design and testing; it is not a certification or a claim of formal WCAG conformance.

Supported behavior

  • Skip links, landmarks, semantic headings, and visible focus.
  • Text labels and status words that do not rely on color alone.
  • At least 44-pixel primary action targets on core journeys.
  • Responsive reflow, wrapping, and browser text zoom.
  • Warm Light, Dark Luminous, and device-default themes.
  • Operating-system reduced-motion preferences.

Current limitations

Formal certification and complete manual assistive-technology coverage are not finished. Separate Resident-persisted contrast, text-size, focus, density, map-default, and language preferences are not implemented, so Beacon does not show controls that would do nothing. The interface is currently English.
